REVIEW

"Gutsy Lady Sizzles!"

Linnea Sinclair creates fascinating characters! It's rare when a reader journeys through a complex, riveting, pace- driven plot coupled with tense dialogue and tempting romance, but this author never fails to deliver in this oddly juxtaposed but real combination. Rhis Vanur, a Z'fharian man, arrives on The Careless Venture in an incapacitated condition. It turns out that he may have useful information, having escaped from the hated Sko, for Trilby Elliot, a space freighter owner exploring space for a job to reduce her limited cash status. The war raging between three empires, with multiple conspiracies and subterfuge, certainly isn't helping Trilby or Rhi's financial status.

Guns, 'droid robots, poison, a space junkyard where first claimers get final ownership, escaping gasses, former betrayals by so-called lovers, missing friends and colleagues, political trust and fear, business machinations, attacks, poison, traps, and more fill this taut story with scenes that fly with intrigue and compel with complexity and action.

Absolutely great sci-fi, Ms. Sinclair!

Dumped, destitute and desperate. Captain Trilby Elliot's last chance at survival in the space lanes is to salvage a crashed fightercraft, and return its pilot for a reward. Except for one small problem: the pilot, Rhis, is intent on commandeering her ship. And another much larger problem: someone very powerful wants Trilby Elliot dead.
