"A nice update of those familiar Doctor/Nurse stories."
In the past, handsome surgeon Jared Granger has had an
almost god-like reputation at San Antonio Memorial Hospital,
and has been lusted after by many of the women employed
there, including (secretly) physical therapist Brooke Lewis.
But ever since he smashed his hand and broke his leg in a
freak accident he has developed the reputation of being
surly and uncooperative, and Brooke has become the next in a
long line of therapists to tackle the job of getting him to
cooperate and participate with his therapy. Brooke wants to
help him not only because it is her job, but also because
she can sense the vulnerability and fear that Jared tries to
hide beneath his cynicism. For his part, Jared finds himself
strangely attracted to this young woman and for the first
time since his accident begins to feel that, with Brooke's
help, he may be able to go back to performing surgery one
day after all. DR. DANGEROUS is a contemporary story that is reminiscent of
the 'Older Doctor/Younger Nurse' stories of the eighties. In
the beginning a young Brooke has a sort of a hero worship of
the older, successful Jared, which soon turns to a more
mature type of love as she gets to know him better. Jared is
so wrapped up in his pain and the possible loss of his
career that he almost lets the best thing to ever happen to
him (Brooke) slip away. DR. DANGEROUS did contain humor, and
smart banter rife with sexual innuendo that brought a new
freshness to this familiar plot line. The steamy love scenes
also helped to bring this tale into this new century.

SummaryJared Granger's business was saving lives. But a recent
injury had turned the handsome M.D. into a patient-and he
didn't like it one bit... until he put himself in the
healing hands of his physical therapist. Brooke Lewis was
part seductress, part saint and all woman.
Brooke wasn't immune to the charms of the sexy surgeon and
confirmed bachelor. And keeping her professional distance
was a real challenge once she started Jared's 'home'
therapy at his secluded weekend retreat. Administering to
the needs of her new patient was one thing, but she was
coming dangerously close to falling in love....
