"Wow! What a book!"
I've been meaning to read Linnea Sinclair's books
for simply ages but just now got a chance and I'm just
sorry that I didn't read them earlier! Thank goodness I
have more than just this one in my huge mountain of books
to read! Trilby Elliott is an independent trader who has
stopped on the uninhabited Avanar to do a few
modifications to her star freighter when she notices
a 'Sko Trahtark coming in too fast. She wonders what the
fighter is doing near Avanar but doesn't have time to
ponder it too much when she calls her DZ-9 droid to load
up so they can go salvage parts and maybe make enough to
get some more upgrades for her freighter. After all,
finders keepers, right? When Trilby and Dezi get to the wreckage, it is
missing one pilot. Trilby looks around and finds him but
he's not 'Sko. He's in bad shape to so she and Dezi haul
him back and try to fix him up. What they don't know is who they have rescued but
they do know that Rhis Vanur is extremely arrogant and is
used to having his own way. He just doesn't know how
stubborn Trilby is when it comes to her ship. Rhis wants
to go one way and Trilby says no because she has a job to
do but when she finds out that one of her best friends is
missing and Rhis says he will help, what can she do? Wow! What a story! I was well and truly hooked. I
want to be Trilby when I grow up! She is everything a
heroine should be and Rhis may be arrogant and bossy but
he's just what Trilby needs. They work well together and
get done what needs to get done. I highly recommend this
one and can't wait to read more of Linnea Sinclair's
books. This one immediately goes on my keeper shelf!

Dumped, destitute and desperate. Captain Trilby Elliot's
last chance at survival in the space lanes is to salvage a
crashed fightercraft, and return its pilot for a reward.
Except for one small problem: the pilot, Rhis, is intent
on
commandeering her ship. And another much larger problem:
someone very powerful wants Trilby Elliot dead.
