REVIEW

"Trina and Walker's story and what a story it is!"

Trina Roberts works for Bellagio Shoes in Public Relations and is a friend of Jenny Prillaman's (see Feet First). She was at the wedding of Brooke Tarantino and Walker Gordon when Brooke stood Walker up in front of the world. So when Trina goes to a bar after the fiasco, she sees none other than Walker at the end of the bar trying to drown his sorrows (or is it good luck). She decides the least she can do is commiserate with him.

What Trina doesn't anticipate is Walker coming home with her and their having a night of wild unadulterated sex. Then Walker moves to Paris and Trina finds out she's pregnant. She decides not to tell Walker because he is dead set against having children since his father, grandfather, you get the picture were horrible fathers. He doesn't want to follow their footsteps. As a matter of fact before he and Brook were going to get married he had a vasectomy. The problem is whoops it didn't take!

Now Walker is back and his advertising firm is working closely with Bellagio Shoes. That means Walker has to work very closely with Trina. So can Trina keep Maddie a secret from Walker or should she tell him? Will he believe her even if she does tell him? This could be very interesting.

Walker has a set of his own problems. His uncle who was more of a father to him and his siblings than his own father was just had heart surgery. That's why Walker is back so he can take care of him. Plus he doesn't understand why Trina is giving him the cold shoulder. He thought that night was quite mutual for them both. He needs to get to the bottom of this and soon especially since they will be working closely with each other.

This book was wonderful. I laughed so hard that tears streamed more than once. I thought Maddie was an absolute hoot and Walker interacting with her was worth a million bucks! Leanne Banks did such a great job with Trina and Walker's story that I'm hoping that she will write more Bellagio Shoes books. I think Brooke is very deserving of her own story.

Summary

Bellagio, Inc. public relations genius Trina Roberts had been a bad, bad girl when she'd gone to bed with a recently jilted groom and wound up pregnant. She knew Walker Gordon wasn't looking for forever—at least not with her. So when he took a job overseas, she sort of neglected to tell him about the baby on the way.

Well, now he's back...and he's just figured out the truth.

Walker had been reeling from a very public breakup when Trina had offered solace he couldn't deny. He'd never expected the result would make him somebody's daddy! Trina claimed not to need anything from him, but he was determined that his child have a father; he just didn't know if it should be him. Because a father's shoes...well, those he wasn't sure he could fill.
