"First installment of the Bellagio Shoes stories!"
Jenny Prillaman is a doodler and has been covering for her
boss, Sal since he has a little problem with falling off
the wagon so when executive VP of Bellagio Shoes, Marc
Waterston comes in looking for Sal because his cousin
Brooke Tarantino was coming in to discuss her wedding
shoes, Jenny knows that she's in big trouble. She tells
Marc she will handle it. She says she knows where Sal
keeps his sketches. The problem is Sal doesn't have any
sketches so Jenny has to doodle which she does well
especially under stress. Jenny also has had a crush on Marc since she started
working for Bellagio Shoes. She knows that he won't look
at her twice. Still when Marc sees how Jenny handles his
high maintenance cousin Brooke, he's very impressed but
not enough to remember her name. Still they are thrown
together quite a bit and the more Marc spends time with
Jenny the more impressed he is but he still can't remember
her name. What's up with that? Jenny just has one tiny problem. That problem is that Sal
lied on her resume and said that she graduated from a very
well known design school. Jenny tries to tell Marc about
this but every time she has the opportunity he either
brushes her off or something else comes up and the
opportunity slips through her fingers. Then she just
keeps getting in deeper and deeper. How will it end? I loved this story. It was interesting to see how Jenny
and Marc reacted with each other and how the whole
scenario played out. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this
book and cannot wait for the next installment of the
Bellagio Shoes stories.
