"Giggle, laugh and hold your sides when reading this one!"
Jaine Austin's best friend Lance talks her into to
visiting his favorite boutique, Passions. Jaine's elastic
waist pants and T-shirts are unheard of in this upscale
boutique. Jaine is sure they don't have anything in her
size and besides all the stuff she sees hanging on the
racks is definitely not for Janie. She is helped by a cute
little orange-haired clerk named Becky. An all she does is
complain about her co-worker Giselle-a.k.a. "Frenchie". Somehow Jaine ends up buying a $3000 Prada suit and
wearing it the next day to an interview with the owner of
Passions. When Jaine arrives she finds Frenchie dead,
stabbed in the neck with one of her stilettos. There is
no shortage of suspects. The police think Becky is the
best bet as the killer and Becky hires Jaine to clear her
name. Now all Janie has to do is figure out who hated
Frenchie enough to kill her. Ms. Levine has another
winner here. I love the emails from Jaine's parents.
They add another dimension to the humor in the book.
