"A wonderfully hot anthology!"
Be sure to have a fan or the air conditioning on
when you start this extremely hot anthology. I can't say
that I have a favorite story as they all turned up the
heat in a most delightful way! Cajun Heat by JoAnn Ross is the first
story
in this anthology and for those of you who read her
Callahan books set in Louisiana this is Gabriel (Gabe)
Broussard's story. Years ago before Gabe left the small
town of Blue Bayou, he had a memorable night with Emma
Quinlan. Still he left for the bright lights of Hollywood
and became a star. Emma still lives in Blue Bayou and
thanks to the Callahan's got rid of her scum of an ex-
husband who was stealing her blind and fooling around on
her to boot. Now Emma owns a spa with her best friend and
is trying to put things behind her. This is before Nate
Callahan asks her to pick Gabe up from the airport. Emma
really doesn't want to do that as she has never forgotten
Gabe and this will only dreg up memories better left
buried. In You Give Me Fever by Nancy Warren, Lucy
Charles lives in Canada but goes to New Orleans to dig up
family roots. She wants to learn about her ancestors that
left Canada for New Orleans. She meets Cousin Beatrice
LeBlanc and at first thinks her son Claude is the
gardener. She is very intrigued with Claude but the
longer she stays with the LeBlanc's the more she is
convinced something is going on and there are several
secrets that Claude is keeping. Is he really the owner of
an antique's store and why does he keep sneaking out at
night? Lucy only becomes more intrigued the longer she
stays. Can she figure this mystery out without losing her
heart to Claude? The third story is by E. C. Sheedy and it is
In
Good Hands, a story about a workaholic Dane McCoy. As
a favor to his spoiled sister, he allows Esme Shane to
come to his private island to bring a proposal for his
sister Marilee and her latest lover to open a spa. He has
given Marilee more than enough money over the years and
he's not about to give her more. Plus she told him that
Esme was a conservative mouse. Boy did she tell a whopper
there! Esme has already married one workaholic man and
won't get involved with another no matter what. Still Dane
was hot and she was extremely bothered! What is a girl to
do? I thoroughly enjoyed each and every story in this
fabulous anthology. I am a huge fan of all of these
authors and to put them together in an anthology is
genius!! I highly recommend reading this one the minute
it is published!
