REVIEW

"Finding the Diamond of One's Heart!"

"Diamonds scattered through the sky like stardust" So Jackson (Jake) Alexander Kilchurn IV describes the nighttime stars to his new-found love, Amanda in the 13th Century. Amanda can't believe that one can bring the stars down to earth, mold it, and wear it. But that is exactly what Jake does for a living, in another century - the present one of the reader!

For Jackson is an adventurer who in 21st century England travels to find gems that are unique which he can then treasure or sell to those who appreciate the finest of jewels! But in the process of one particular task for his father, one which he greatly abhors, he is transported to Amanda's century and will never be the same again!

How does a contemporary man adjust to the language, social strata, and outlook of medieval men and women? In a world where land, money, and possessions forge powerful unions, how will Jake's separation from those values earn him the permanent union with this woman who totally besots his senses? How can he travel back and forth between time periods to obtain what he needs to guarantee proof of his wealth and how will he win over Amanda's suspicious brothers and wise father?

This is a great read and not just because of the rising passion between Jake and Amanda (although that is intriguing the way it unfolds as well)! For Jake determines that he will adapt to the new world he meets and in the process wins over most of the central characters. He has something to teach them as well, and this complexity increases the tension of the central conflict.

There's another family involved, one that secretly longs for the legendary castle of Artane! Will their connection serve to protect and insure the continuation of the famous site or end it in disaster?

Enjoy, indeed truly relish this delightful story that is well-written, masterfully plotted, and totally believable - as well as romantically provocative!
