"Nick Walker's story is all that and more!"
Leslie Kelly never fails to entertain me! I have
thoroughly enjoyed every book she's ever written! Her
single titles just showcase her talent! This book is the
long awaited story of Nick Walker, Johnny Walker's (from
SHE DRIVES ME CRAZY) younger brother. Nick is now a
detective in the fine old city of Savannah, Georgia. He is
on a stake out for a scumbag dope dealer looking pretty
shabby when he sees a woman struggling to get a mattress
out of a moving van into the very apartment building he's
trying to stake out; not only that but the moving van is
illegally parked to boot! Melody Tanner can't believe she's back after divorcing her
womanizing ex-husband dentist who uses his drill all
right! He also sued her for all of her money because she
was caught defacing his billboard and he thought it ruined
his reputation, yeah right! Melody had made a bundle as a
child star but when she turned 18 she gave it all up and
her mother promptly left her for a rich husband, one of
many. Then she married Bill at 21 and really messed up her
life. But that's neither here nor there. What Melody can't believe is the night before her wedding
to the jerk, she and her friends Rosemary, Paige and Tanya
had drinks and each made lists of the men they'd most want
to go to bed with. The number one man on Melody's list
was the soldier on the cover of Time magazine who saved
some children in Bosnia. Now that list is coming back to
haunt her big time. First off, the men on Melody's list are systematically
dying, whether from coincidence or murder which remains to
be seen. Secondly the first man on her list is none other
than Nick Walker. Rosemary thinks it's fate. Her man Dex
is Nick's partner and she knows she just has to fix Melody
and Nick up. The problem is they don't want to be fixed
up as they both have serious commitment phobias due to
prior marriages gone sour! I laughed and I cried. This book was highly engaging. I
had a great time 'listening' in on Melody and her friend's
hilarious conversations! Leslie Kelly's handling of the
mystery part of the book was spot on! I never guessed in
a million years who the villain was! Kudo's, Leslie, for
a suburb book. I can't wait for the next one!!

SummaryFinding true love can be murder...
Newly divorced and back in her hometown, Melody Tanner is
ready to change her life for the better. Her girlfriends
think it's the perfect time to revisit the lists they came
up with as a joke at Melody's bachelorette partya list
of five men they could sleep with no matter what.
But when Melody looks at her list, she discovers two of the
men are already dead. Worse, the homicide detective she
contacts just happens to be her #1, former marine Nick Walker.
Nick isn't taking the coincidental deaths too seriously,
until the other two men on the list die suspiciously. Melody
thinks the only way to keep Nick alive is to let him go. But
Nick's willing to take the risk. Besides, if he does have to
check out, there's no place he'd rather do it than in
Melody's arms....
