"Another superb SDDU book!"
I've been a huge fan of Dana Marton's Special Designation
Defense Unit or SDDU books since her very first one and
while this is an SDDU book, it's quite different from the
others in the series. First this is about a female member
of the team Dara Alexander. Second, it has a gorgeous
sexy sheik in it! Needless to say, that got my attention
right away! Dara is temporarily assigned to a team doing desert recon
over Beharrain when the plane is shot down. Luckily Dara
is far enough away after parachuting from the plane when
it blew up but she didn't escape without injuries. She
knows she may not last long in the desert. Sheik Saeed ibn Ahmad ibn Salim ben Zayed has already had
two assassination attempts on his life when he comes
across Dara in the desert. He thinks she's an assassin as
well until she doesn't move. He at first things she's a
man until he loosens her clothing and tries to give her
some water. Dara comes to quite abruptly when Saeed is attacked. She
saves his life when she throws her spare knife and kills
the man attacking him. She isn't sure she did the right
thing at first but soon finds out who he is. She decides
to fake amnesia until she knows a little more about her
situation. Saeed and Dara don't have any earthly idea how far over
their heads they are with the whole situation. They just
know they are very attracted to each other but know
nothing can come of it. They are just too different from
two different worlds. The action and adventure not to mention the romance in
this story had me turning pages as quickly as I could. I
couldn't read this book fast enough to find out exactly
what was going to happen. I highly recommend this
wonderful intrigue!
