"A powerful story where emotions run high"
Twenty-three-year-old Rachel Long is nothing like her
deceased mother Andrea. She has spent most of her youth
trying to avoid the limelight and the men she entertains.
At sixteen, she has a traumatic experience when the
younger brother of one of her mother's lovers tries to
rape her. Her mother makes her not press charges and soon
marries the extremely wealthy Greek business man, Matthias
Kouros. Too late, Matthias discovers Andrea's
unfaithfulness and greed. Both die in a car accident, and
Matthias's nephew, Sebastian will never forget how Andrea
fooled his uncle who was more like a father. He also
falsely believes Rachel to be like her mother. Rachel has loved Sebastian since she was seventeen.
However, the older Greek tycoon was busy courting
sophisticated and beautiful women from around the world.
Still, he always made Rachel feel special. When she
returns to Greece for her mother and Matthias' funeral,
she remembers exactly why she loved Sebastian with all her
heart. Sebastian's feelings are confused because of his anger
over his uncle's tragic demise. Seeing Rachel again, all
grown-up, brings up longings best forgotten. After all,
he needn't be the fool his uncle was. He thinks Rachel a
scheming money-grabber who has been with lots of men.
Yet, he is drawn to Rachel in a way he's never been drawn
to another woman. Only his mother realizes the truth --
that Rachel is innocent and a virgin. The Greek's Innocent Virgin delves deep in emotional
waters. It is a study in human chemistry and complex
needs in a male/female relationship. This reviewer found
the writing powerful, drawing her in from the very first
page and hanging on until the very last word. Not only
does the story revolve around wealth and glamour and
international locations, but it's main focus stays with
the emotional elements going on between the hero and
heroine. Sebastian is used to getting his way and having
any woman he wants. Yet, Rachel's simple inner beauty
drives him mad with desire... a desire he can't control.
And that's the thing that grabs the reader and holds the
reader until the story's end. If you are looking for a
fast read with powerful emotions and packs a punch, this a
book you need. Highly recommended.
