"The sequel to HOT STUFF and what a sequel it is!"

Carly Phillips started this series about three orphaned sisters with the book HOT STUFF. Now this story is about the youngest sister, Micki. Actually her name is Michelle but from the beginning she wanted to be called Micki. She had always been a tomboy which suited Yank to a tee. He had Annabelle and Sophie to worry about with girl stuff. Micki wanting to be his buddy worked for him.

Now Micki is all grown up and is a fabulous PR person in the sports industry. She is a great asset to The Hot Zone, their sports related PR business. She's comfortable in the locker room and knows how to handle those inflated egos.

Micki happened to share a mind blowing kiss one New Year's eve with Damian Fuller, star of the baseball team The Renegades. She can't forget it or him but it seems like he was too drunk to remember kissing "one of the boys" Micki.

Then for one reason or another Micki and Damian keep getting thrown together. Micki doesn't know how long she can stand being in Damian's company without acting on her feelings. She knows that Damian only thinks of her as Uncle Yank's niece and a damn fine PR person.

Damian, on the other hand, distinctly remembers that mind blowing kiss he shared with Micki and knows she's just not the woman for him. He is into having a girl in every city and most definitely doesn't want to settle down even though he's getting to the point where he needs to think about another career as his baseball playing days are nearly over.

Then when a scandal threatens to ruin Damian, who stands by him through the whole thing? Micki knows she should back off from Damian but he's like a drug and she's so addicted. She just doesn't want to get hurt.

This story was excellent. I enjoyed Micki and Damian's story as well as getting to visit with Annabelle and Brandon. The relationship between Uncle Yank and Lola heats up as well. I look forward to what Carly Phillips has in store for the last sister, Sophie!

Summary

Micki Jordan, publicist to the brightest stars in the sports world, is pleased to announce the end of her tomboy ways, effective immediately. While she will still be able to discuss the finer points of the two-man defense, Micki has transformed herself into one hot number, and she will no longer be known as "just one of the guys."

To that end, Micki is now holding tryouts for the position of new man in her new life. Current leading contender Damian Fuller is a professional ballplayer and a major league playboy.
