"The last book in the excellent Last Chance Series!"
This is the last book in the Last Chance trilogy by
Dee Davis and I believe it's my favorite. This is Nigel
Ferris' story. In the first book, Nigel was put in a very
bad position of having to choose between his job and his
friends. He made a bad choice but things worked out in the
end. Now he's back to help thwart an international
terrorist plot. He has no idea that he'll have to deal
with a blast from his past. Melissa Pope is a photojournalist but she is also
a covert agent. It works out well because she goes all
over the world and is in places where she can gather all
sorts of information. She believes she's stumbled onto
something big but it seems as if someone is out to get
her. She's poisoned and set up for murder. Then she finds
out that Nigel Ferris has been assigned to help protect
her. Fifteen years ago she walked away from Nigel but
she's not sure she's strong enough to do it again. Can Melissa and Nigel work together to figure out
when and where the terrorist attack will be and will they
be able to keep their hearts intact and their relationship
a working one? Only time will tell. I not only enjoyed Melissa and Nigel's story but I
was thrilled to read about the rest of the Last Chance
members in this book as well. It was like visiting old
friends. Dee did an excellent job in writing this series
and I hope to see more series books from her.
