"A delightful sequel to UNDER THE BOARDWALK!"
I've been waiting a long time for Zoe Costas story
and believe me it's well worth the wait. Things are
finally going great for the Costas' family. They are now
running a respectable spa. Ari, Zoe's twin sister is
happily married to Quinn (see UNDER THE BOARDWALK) and
Zoe's parents may finally be able to adopt Sam, their 14
year old foster daughter. Sam already feels like Zoe and
Ari's sister and is treated as such. In walks Ryan Baldwin who the Costas family
believes to be the replacement social worker until Zoe
finds out that he's not. So just who is this Ryan? When
he figures out the jig is up, he tells Zoe that he's Sam's
uncle. Sam's mother was Ryan's big sister. Zoe doesn't
believe him and tells him to let her family think he's
still the social worker until she can investigate who this
guy really is. Zoe tells Quinn and Conner, her partners in a new
business in which they protect celebrities. They all
decide they must get to the bottom of this for Sam's sake
and for the Costas' sake as well. The problem is someone
else doesn't want Sam to be found and they most especially
don't want Sam back in the Baldwin's lives but why?
That's what Ryan and Zoe have to figure out before someone
gets hurt. The thing is the more Ryan and Zoe are thrown
together the more attracted they are to each other but no
two people could be more different. Ryan is a
conservative, by the book, lawyer and if you read Ari's
story, then you know that Zoe is just the opposite. So
what are they going to do about it? I enjoyed every word and every page of this book.
I laughed and I cried. I especially enjoyed visiting
characters from the former book such as the whole Costas
family and of course, Spank the monkey. I also enjoyed
meeting Sam's new pet, Ima Pig. What a hoot! I highly
recommend this book!
