REVIEW

"Engaging paranormal romance"

In modern day New Orleans, Selena decides her best friend sex therapist Grace Alexander needs to get laid after four years of abstinence caused by an SOB using her just after her parents died. As a birthday present for Grace, Selena brings her an ancient book that contains a picture of a hunk General Julian of Macedon. Selena believes that if Grace follows the instructions of the tome, she can summon up Julian to come as her sex slave for a month. To shut up Selena, a skeptical Grace says the enchantment. After Selena leaves, Julian stands naked in Grace's house.

He begins a seduction, but Grace stops him, a new experience for Julian. He tells her he was cursed in 149 BC and has not been out of the book since 1895. Grace asks what it is like inside and he says that you can hear everything in the same room as the book, but admits that he is now claustrophobic. Grace says she will free him, but no sex though Julian plans to teach her the pleasures of the body. However, either a two thousand years old curse will vanish due to love or an enchanting duo will remain frustrated and depressed for eternity.

Readers will enjoy Sherrilyn Kenyan's paranormal romance that stars a delightful lead couple and a strong support cast including several members of the Greek Pantheon. The story line is at its ardent best when it focuses on the relationship between the son of Aphrodite and the American sex therapist. Though two sidebars involving a patient and an ex-lover respectively seem unnecessary, FANTASY LOVER still mesmerizes the audience.
