"Quietly Touching Story!"
Eadie has been in love with her boss Hoyt for more than
five years. She's trying with everything she's got, to
make her ranch survive. In order to keep up with
expenses, she had taken a part-time job with Hoyt
Donovan. His huge ranch has been successful for many
generations. As far as romance goes, Eadie has been the
one who sends his string of women good-bye gifts.
Diamonds. Emeralds. Pearls. She knows he's a confirmed
bachelor and fickle at that. Hoyt experiences a close call with his farming equipment
and then realizes he needs children to carrying on the
tradition. Eadie is his target. Though Eadie has been in love with Hoyt ever since the day
he saved her from rape, she never reveals her true
feelings. Instead, she works as his loyal and competent
employee. Out-of-the-blue, Hoyt proposes to Eadie. Eadie is totally
thrown by his offer of marriage. Will she accept his
proposal? Can she save her ranch? Could a man like Hoyt,
so used to beautifully made-up women, accept her as a
wife? You can only find out if you read this delightful
tale of two people who have been in love from the minute
they met but have been denying it the entire time. This story is truly a treat. Susan Fox has an easy
writing style that makes for fast reading. So fast, that
when it is done you wish the story wasn't over. The hero
and heroine have an emotional depth that makes you really
understand what they are feeling. As far as Hoyt's
bachelor status -- well that just adds a whole lot of fun,
though the heroine might not agree. And the fact that she
hasn't been with another man.... Well that's another
story.
One that makes Hoyt extremely possessive. I highly
recommend this story for fans of a romantic novel that is
on the sweet side. I loved this story and hope you will,
too, if you give it a try.
