Micki Jordan has always been considered one of the guys. From the time her and her sisters came to live with Uncle Yank she followed him everywhere. She was more comfortable on a baseball field then in a shopping mall. But Micki is tired of that and wants to change. Ever since she shared the kiss with Damian Fuller on New Year's Eve, she has wanted to make him notice her as a female.

She enlists the help of her sister Sophie, to make her over. But will she be able to get Damian to give up his playboy ways?

Damian has never gotten the memory of that kiss out of his head no matter how much he tried to deny his attraction to Micki. When he suffers a potentially career ending injury he thinks nothing could get worse, until he also faces a personal scandal that could threaten his new relationship with Micki.

I have been waiting for a year for HOT NUMBER to come out, it is my favorite series by Carly Phillips and the wait was well worth it. The second in Ms Phillips HOT ZONE series and it is as good, if not better then the first one in the series HOT STUFF. Not only do you get Micki and Damian's story, but you also get more of the Uncle Yank and Lola love story. Will Yank finally admit he loves Lola? or will continue on being stubborn?

Ms Phillips does an awesome job of the twists and turns of the storyline. You never know what is going to happen next until the next page is turned. Micki is every bit as stubborn as her Uncle Yank and Damian is not sure he can be the person that Micki deserves.

HOT NUMBER is going to fly off the shelves faster then ice cold pepsi in the middle of a heatwave.

Summary

Micki Jordan, publicist to the brightest stars in the sports world, is pleased to announce the end of her tomboy ways, effective immediately. While she will still be able to discuss the finer points of the two-man defense, Micki has transformed herself into one hot number, and she will no longer be known as "just one of the guys."

To that end, Micki is now holding tryouts for the position of new man in her new life. Current leading contender Damian Fuller is a professional ballplayer and a major league playboy.
