"Another Shefford-Johnson Case"
Wanda L. Dyson's second book once again involves Zoe
Shefford, now ex-psychic and also detective Josiah
Johnson. This time young college girls are going missing
and then showing up dead. Zoe, who is still struggling with her new found faith and
her step away from life as a psychic is attending school
and trying to lead a normal life until she stumbles upon a
dead body while jogging at the park. Josiah still spends
his days trying to catch the bad guys along with trying to
forget about his feelings for Zoe. Zoe would like nothing
better than to avoid this case, however when another
murder strikes a little too close to home, her and Josiah
will once again join forces and try to prevent another
young woman's death. Dyson's style of writing didn't change greatly from her
first book which I enjoyed a great deal however something
about the suspense in this second book seemed to fall a
bit short for me. The relationship that is developing
between Zoe and Josiah though is something that I really
enjoyed and find myself anxious for the third book for
just that reason.
