"Intriguing characters and captivating romance!"
Sara Banks has lived with scandal all her life.
Her father owned Alycone, a gaming club and when he died he
left it to her. She also never loses so when she and a
friend go to the theater one night and the man of her
dreams accidentally walks into their box, she has to find
out all she can about him. Colin Wescott, the seventeenth Earl of Haverwood,
never had much of a childhood. His father reminded him
every day that Black Jack Cady raped his mother and he's
the product of that rape. Now all Colin wants to do is
make sure he's nothing like his biological father. So when
he accidentally walks into the woman of his dreams' box at
the theater, he knows he must stay away from her lest the
beast that his father was runs rampant through him. Sara is bound and determined that she will have
Colin and does everything in her power to make sure this
comes to fruition. Unbeknownst to her, even Colin's butler
Giles and Sara?s maid Iris decide to get into the act.
They throw Colin and Sara together every chance they get.
Then when someone tries to kill Sara, Colin knows he must
do something fast but what will that something be? Sara and Colin were both extremely intriguing
characters as they were both very strong and both liked to
win. When they butted heads together, it was a challenge
to see who would finally get their way. I thoroughly
enjoyed this captivating romance from beginning to end. I
eagerly look forward to reading more from Kathleen O'Reilly.
