"CRISWELL OFFERS ANOTHER GREAT BLEND OF ROMANCE AND LAUGHTER"
Jack Turner grew up spending as much time at the home of
his friend Samantha Brady as he did at his own. Things
haven't changed much over the years as they are still
great friends and now share an apartment in New York
City! Samantha has always known that Jack is the stuff of
fairytales however she knows neither one of them would
ever be willing to risk what they already have. However, on a return trip home from visiting her parents,
Samantha and Jack are mixed into a spicy equation of
broken down car, cheap hotel room and two bottles of Jack
Daniels. This equals one hot night in bed and a ton of
regrets the next morning. Not able to deal with the feelings that their wild night
left behind, Jack ends up taking an apartment across the
hall and Samantha is left behind with no one for company
but the adorable Boston Terrier puppy that Jack gave her
as a gift. When Samantha discovers that her dreams of becoming a
mother are finally going to come true, she knows that
she'll be raising her and Jack's child alone. What she
doesn't realize is that Jack is having second thoughts
about running away from the only woman who's ever made him
happy. Can this no strings relationship be pulled back
together before the stork arrives? I've been a fan of friends to lovers themes for years so
this new book by Criswell was a perfect pick for me. Not
only does it offer a storyline that I love but it's done
in such a way that the reader finds herself laughing her
way through most of the story. I'll be sure to watch for
her next HQN release in 2006!

SummarySamantha Brady's to-do list is simple...
Sell her novel, have a baby and find the man of her dreams--
though not necessarily in that order. Trouble is, she has
writer's block, hasn't had a date in months and lives
platonically with her best friend, Jack Turner, the only man
who has ever met her Prince Charming criteria.
She and Jack have always avoided romantic entanglements of
any kind, especially with each other. No strings. No fuss.
No heartaches. Until one night of too much wine and too few
inhibitions takes their friendship to a whole new level, and
leaves Sam pregnant.
But maybe a few "strings" are just what the roommates need
to realize that life could be so much sweeter as the perfect
couple!
