Zoe Sheffield's life changed forever the day her ten-year- old twin sister was kidnapped and never found. However since that dreadful day, something else changed in her life. Karen Matthews is the mother of just one of the several missing children that Detective J. J. Johnson has been called in to find. It isn't long before J. J.'s boss orders him to contact Zoe and see if she can offer any leads. While J. J. and Zoe butt heads almost from the instant they meet, they both quickly agree that something is a bit different about the Matthews baby's disappearance. Karen and J. J. will have to join forces to tie all the pieces of this puzzle together before another child goes missing.

New to me author Wanda L. Dyson led me on a roller coaster ride as this book quickly turns from one abduction case to the next before circling back to the original Mathews baby abduction which seems to play such an important role in the entire story. I was overly impressed by Dyson's ability to mix God's word into such a fast moving and suspenseful plot. As the story develops, she quickly reminds us that God has given us all free choice and that he isn't to blame for all the wrong in our modern world. I'll be the first buyer in line to pick up the next book by this author!
