"An exciting sword and sorcery tale"

As she wanders about scavenging, Jennsen Daggett thinks of her beloved mother brutally killed by the New World's Seeker of Truth Lord Richard Rahl. The voice she hears in her head encourages vengeance against Richard and his wife Kahlan. Unable to resist its lure, Jennsen begins her quest to destroy Richard for what he did to the only person that mattered to her.

Meanwhile having succeeded in toppling his father, Richard has opened the door to a power struggle between his stepbrothers. He has his own troubles with his continuing fight for justice with the Old World despot Emperor Jagang the Just. However, a new threat closes in on Richard and Kahlan as Jennsen and creatures from the dark plan to kill the couple at THE PILLARS OF CREATION.

The seventh Sword of Truth novel, THE PILLARS OF CREATION, is an exciting sword and sorcery tale that sub- genre fans will enjoy though the characters seem more loquacious than active. The story line retains the vivid colorful world of Terry Goodkind that readers expect from this author. Though the key characters appear more passive in nature than usual, their essences remain consistent, enabling fans to continue to believe in this realm while enjoying an entertaining entry in an exhilarating series.
