REVIEW

"Romantic Suspense at its best!"

I read this book in a matter of hours. I hate when I do that because I know the hard work an author puts in when they write a book but I could not help it this time. I was on the edge of my seat through this whole book. I could hardly bear to put it down even for one minute.

People are dying left and right and Cullen Pulaski wants to know why. It seems the only connection with the deaths is they all worked to bring about economic accord with China in a consortium of businesses. With the pull he has and with who he knows, Cullen brings together the best team he can in order to figure this out before it goes any farther and anyone else is killed.

Cullen makes sure his goddaughter FBI profiler Madison Harper and CIA operative Gabriel Roarke are the head of this team. Madison and Gabe are not conducive to working together. They each are used to doing things their own way. They butt heads constantly but grudgingly respect each other especially when things start coming together, or do they?

It seems that they are tracking clues too easily and are suddenly discovering information that wasn't found before. What is this all about? Still they've assembled a crack team so if it can be found, they will be able to do it but can they find out what they need to know before things get out of hand?

I believe Dee Davis is one of the best authors writing romantic suspense today. She tantalizes and teases with clues but I know I rarely figure out who the villain is until the very end. I also enjoy trying to figure out where she will place her signature Mary Stewart clue in each and every book. ENDGAME is the first of a trilogy and I know I'm eagerly awaiting the next two. They can't be published fast enough for me!

Summary

FBI criminal profiler Madison Harper understands dangerous minds. Tough, tenacious, with nerves of steel, she's the best of the best. So is her new partner, Gabriel Rourke, a crack CIA operative who likes to do things his way. When the two are forced to jointly head up a task force investigating murder in high places-it's no surprise that sparks begin to fly.

As Madison and Gabriel race through a shadow world of power, politics and deadly secrets, the passion that simmers between them soon ignites. But a clever killer at the top of his game has challenged Madison to play to the very end. Now all she can trust is her instincts--and Gabriel, the one man reckless enough to keep her alive. . .
