REVIEW

"Heartwarming romance!"

It all started out with a date from hell at a nightclub with a jerk and too much booze. It didn't help bumping into an old flame, Ty Cameron either. But the next thing Tracy LeDeux knows is passing out and waking up in Ty's apartment. Still disoriented but determined to drive herself home, Ty lets her borrow one of his cars which she proceeds to wreck in his garage. Willing to write out a check to cover the damages, Tracy is shocked when Ty refuses to take her money and instead demands she work off the damages by working at his ranch. It doesn't make sense. The man knows she is wealthy and thinks she is just like her wicked, worthless mother. So why would he want her at his ranch?

Ty Cameron isn't sure what to make of Tracy. Is she the same spoiled rich kid he knew before or has she wised-up? Is she as wicked as her mother or the fragile, almost-to- the-breaking-point, insecure lady she seems to be now. Ty is known for taking in lost causes and helping those that seem lost in spirit and mind. Maybe some time at his ranch will help Tracy find direction to her life. At least it will help him while he's short of help at the ranch.

Determined to prove to Ty that she isn't worthless, Tracy goes to work at the ranch and stubbornly does more work than she is capable of. Along the way she also blossoms under the care of Ty and the people around him and grows with new-found confidence.

When her evil past comes back to haunt her will she crumble again or will she trust in Ty to help give her the strength to overcome the past? Will Ty hate her or will he be the man she's always dreamed of marrying?

Heartwarming and enjoyable, my only complaint is that it ended too soon! Ms Fox magnificently shows much depth of character and conflict in such a short book. The supporting characters were wonderful and enriched the story immensely. A quick and enjoyable read that I recommend to all.
