"Second book in werewolf series is fast-paced and action-packed."
Leigh Tyler was a kindergarten teacher in Topeka, Kansas.
Now she hunts werewolves for a living, thanks to an ex-
lover who killed her family and boyfriend to become an evil
superhuman werewolf -- a Weendigo. Crow Valley, Wisconsin, is open-hunting season for
werewolves, and Leigh is blasting them to hell at night,
while making love to Damien Fitzgerald, a hazel-eyed
Irishman, during the day. Leigh sets her sights on Damien
the moment she meets him, but underneath the muscular
exterior lays a deep, dark secret. Jessie McQuade, a Jager-Sucher (werewolf hunter) and her
boyfriend, Will, are also in Crow Valley trying to unravel
the mystery of the Weendigo and how the supreme alpha
werewolf reaches its pinnacle of power on the night of the
hunter's moon. Leigh, Jessie and Will discover an
interesting phenomena. Someone, or something, other than
themselves is killing werewolves. Not only that, but
something is eating the kill. As the hunter's moon draws
near, the werewolves become more desperate to kill the
three hunters. And the alpha werewolf makes his plan and
lays his trap to become invincible. Ms. Handeland has woven another fast-paced, action-packed
story of sacrifice and love in the shape-shifting realm. I
especially enjoyed the reappearance of Jessie and Will from
BLUE MOON and the turbulent friendship of Jessie and Leigh.
A terrific second book in her werewolf series.

SummaryLeigh Tyler was once a kindergarten teacher with starry-eyed
dreams-dreams that turned into nightmares when the biggest
mistake she ever made came back to tear her world apart.
Now, Leigh lives only for the hunt. Werewolves are her prey,
and love is no longer an option.
Leigh has been called to Wisconsin for something big. As
long as it means killing fanged and furry demons, she's up
for it. But the worst is yet to come, because something
stronger and smarter than the average beast is on the
prowl...and it's doing Leigh's work for her. Intoxicating
and intriguing, Damien Fitzgerald is making Leigh question
her vow never to let another man into her bed, or her heart.
Every moment with him brings forth familiarand
dangerousurges. Urges that may prove too strong to
resist. Leigh's job is a dance with death, and she has no
intention of letting Damian become involved and get hurt.
Especially now that she knows her enemy is watching from the
forest. Waiting for her first wrong step...
