REVIEW

"Entertaining, humorous debut romance."

Video game designer Annie Long has just been royally dumped in the worst way possible -- a dozen roses and a "it's for the best" video from her latest loser. Still reeling and angry over being dumped, Annie's boss asks her to attend a meeting at work where she is to push a ridiculous idea of a video game. Sick of relationships gone sour, Annie conspires, along with one of her coworkers and best friend, to create the perfect man, Joe Video, and pitch this new concept instead of her boss' idea.

Her boss, Matt Abbington, is furious when he arrives at the meeting and discovers Annie has prepared a new game idea. However, everyone, including Matt, is surprised when the company owner likes Annie's idea and let's her set it up. Matt likes it even less when Annie chooses a hot Latino guy to play the role of Joe Video. No animation in this video, just a purely sexy guy who'll never break a woman's heart.

Matt and Annie, who had a fling in the past, find themselves heating up over each other in a new way. Matt, who never wanted to get married, is entertaining the thought. Annie, who found all kinds of faults in Matt, has rethought her idea of a perfect man and he's not a sexy Latino.

DREAM GUY is a cute story, entertaining and humorous. Ms. Halliday does a marvelous job of dreaming up the perfect man in her mainstream debut. I recommend this book for a relaxing and enjoyable read.
