Ally Jarret has longed to be a wildlife photographer forever, but devotion to her grandmother has kept her close to home. When her grandmother dies, Ally inherits a sizeable fortune and a personal assistant, nerd extraordinaire Mitchell Caruthers.

Bodyguard PI Mitchell chafes at the geek persona he's forced to assume in order to stay close to Ally, but he's willing to do it in order to protect her from a sleazy uncle. When Ally high-tails it off to Porcupine, Alaska, to begin her career, Mitch is right behind, much to her disgust. Betsy, owner of the Loose Moose, a former brothel turned inn, is thrilled with Mitch's arrival, seeing him as potential husband #8. A little less than thrilled by the population explosion in Porcupine is Clyde, who has it in mind to be Betsy's next husband.

When a midnight refrigerator raid treats them to a "boinkathon" between Betsy and Clyde, Ally and Mitch begin to see one another in a different light. Ally's good intentions not to take advantage of the nerd who loves her are seriously tested when she gets a good look at Mitch during a game of strip poker. It's the arrival of Ally's uncle that completely destroys the geek persona, when he and several of the townspeople are forced to snowmobile to the rescue.

Ms. Thompson scores big in this latest nerd caper. At turns sexy, bawdy, tender and hilarious, she lets loose a cast of crazies who will have you laughing out loud at their antics. Make sure you have plenty of time when you sit down to read this one because you're not going to want to put it down!

Summary
