"Second book in this Highlander series is superb."
The Beastie, an ancient piece of valuable art, is the one
thing the English and Scottish Lockharts continue to feud
over. This feud has been going on for the last several
hundred years. It rightfully belongs to the Scottish
Lockharts and is the key to their survival. The Beastie has
been stolen back and forth for centuries and is now in the
hands of the English. Grif Lockhart must succeed where his brother Liam (in
HIGHLANDER UNBOUND) has failed. He must go to London, find
the Beastie and return it to Scotland. That can only be
accomplished with money, entry into society and a place to
reside that would convince the ton he is legitimate. Grif
assumes the identity of Earl Ardencaple and heads to
England. As Grif hobnobs at parties with London's elite, he meets
Miss Anna Addison. Anna is not your average socialite. Grif
doesn't even like her, at first. Oh, how this troublesome,
but beautiful, woman grows on him. Grif thinks of himself
as nothing more than a "perpetual gentleman caller." He's
the Lockhart who keeps the estate books and keeps the
family from ruin. It's never occurred to him that one woman
could fulfill him completely; not until Anna, that is.
She's the one woman who threatens the success of his
mission by daring to reveal his true identity along with
claiming his heart. HIGHLANDER IN DISGUISE is a delight. The plot is
enthralling and the characters strong and unforgettable. A
wonderful love story is entwined in the search for the
Beastie. We are left on the edge of our seats by the
cliffhanger ending, so we know there's another treasure
coming. HIGHLANDER IN DISGUISE is humorous and passionate,
with a love story that fills your heart. Don't miss it,
along with HIGHLANDER UNBOUND, the first in this wonderful
series. You'll be glad you did.

SummaryGriffin Lockhart holds the key to his family's fate. Since
his brother Liam failed to reclaim the priceless heirloom
that could save their ancestral Scottish estate, it's now
up to Grif to find it -- among the lords and ladies of
fashionable London society.
Disguised as a Scottish earl, Grif attends the most
glittering balls, hunting for the woman who is rumored to
possess his family's treasure. Along the way he catches the
eye of Anna Addison, a highborn young woman whose sharp
tongue and even sharper wits have limited her marital
prospects but enable her to detect Grif's deception.
Determined to find a husband this Season, Anna draws Grif
into a scandalous bargain: She will deliver his precious
heirloom -- and keep secret his true identity -- if Grif
can teach her how to seduce a man and win his heart. Well
aware of what a man wants from a woman, Grif reluctantly
instructs her. Soon Anna is besieged by suitors and Grif's
exasperation with the troublesome beauty turns into heated
desire. With time running out, Grif commits a reckless act
in order to claim not only his treasure, but the passionate
woman he believes is his and his alone.
