"Light, humorous Regency romance."
Lady's maid Jenny Penny has an eye for pretty clothes and
baubles. When her credit line at several shops in Bath is
cut off, Jenny must find a way to come up with some extra
blunt quickly. Fortunately, the new peppermint face cream
Jenny created has been a big hit with her friends in
service and is starting to gain popularity with their
employers. Before she knows it, Jenny can't keep up with
the demand for her cream, which the ladies of the ton have
taken to applying to their more intimate parts and dubbing
it "tingle cream." To make matters worse, Jenny's
matchmaking employers have come up with a plan to pass her
off as "Lady Genevieve" and marry her to a viscount. It's
all she can do to keep up with her new life, pay all her
outstanding debts and find her happily-ever-after! This is a light, humorous read, perfect for a winter day.
Suspension of disbelief is a must. Ms. Caskie is a good
writer and the book, part of a series, will keep you
turning pages all afternoon.
