REVIEW

"Touching, adventurous journey of the heart."

Alys Seagraves and Elliot Roth (Doc Nice) are on a journey. Little do they know this journey will change their lives forever, as journeys sometimes do. They are traveling across country in a pink Cadillac named Beulah in search of Mame, a dear friend to Alys and Elliot's loving aunt. Mame has a heart disease that Elliot is very worried about. Alys and Elliot are the two people she loves most in the world and knows they belong together. Mame has a plan. The life- altering lessons she's directing, which include their hearts, are a bit scary but, as Alys and Elliot find out, are well-worth the risk.

Alys must start to live again after the death of her husband. Elliot needs to loosen up and enjoy life. They can't wave a magic wand or look in a crystal ball, so they might as well enjoy the journey, stay with the moment and go with the flow. They aren't going to catch Mame until she's ready to be caught. In the meantime, she's teaching them lessons about living -- REALLY LIVING.

Elliot starts to love Alys' laughter and teasing, her cute pixie hair and her vivid imagination. She gets such joy out of the wonders they're experiencing together. Alys is reaching his positive energy and healing his spirit. She's saving his life just by holding his hand.

It would be quite all right if Alys died tomorrow because Elliot showed her today and she's very much looking forward to the evening; hopefully in Elliot's arms. He's a strong and romantic hero with a soft side and a gentle heart.

CALIFORNIA GIRL is a beautiful story, well-written and extremely heart-warming. It's a story about life, love and new beginnings. You must take this wonderful journey of the heart. Along the way you'll be gifted with a loop-de-loop adventure that will lift your spirits, indulge your senses and make you laugh out loud. This is a joyful story and should not be missed.

THE OPEN ROAD WILL OPEN THEIR HEARTS

Free spirit Alys Seagraves and her elderly, eccentric friend Mame are about to embark upon an epic road trip across historic Route 66 when Mame suffers a medical setback that throws a wrench into their plans. Never the willing patient, Mame sneaks out of the hospital, determined to go it alone as she relives the memories of her honeymoon along the famous highway. Now Alys has to trail the spunky senior westward and bring her back to reality.

Yet Alys isn't alone. Mame's nephew, Elliot Ross, a very sexy but very serious doctor, is sharing in the driving duties. Elliot has a voice like velvet and eyes to match. The impromptu couple will be spending many hours together in an aging pink Cadillac—and the sparks are destined to fly. After retracing the romantic path that Mame and her late husband followed long-ago Alys and Elliot will discover on the sunny shores of California, that one must always live for the moment . . . and take a chance on love.
