"Nothing is ever simple"
Thats what Russ Evans, discovers when he, with his partner
Jerry Anders, are staking out the coffeehouse, where their
suspect Trevor Dean. Trevor is suspected of bilking
hundreds of women he has met on the Internet. Russ is
surprised to find the woman Laurel Wilkins is not Trevor's
usual victim. Laurel is shocked when she finds out the man she was
supposed to meet was not really Russ Evans, but the real
Russ Evans is the hottest and sexiest thing she has seen.
She is also taken by surprise when the real Russ turns out
to be a cop and he informs her of Dean's trickery. The attraction between Russ and Laurel is immediate.
Laurel
is not the usual type of woman Russ is used to seeing.
Laurel is determined to get the man who strung her along
and make sure he doesn't do the same to other women. Ever since I read Erin McCarthy's BAD BOYS ONLINE, I have
been waiting for Russ' story and I finally got it in MOUTH
TO MOUTH. Russ' story is everything I could expected and
more. Russ is a good cop, who is raising his younger
brother after the recent death of their parents and he
does
everything he can to keep his hands off of Laurel but
there
are some things not worth fighting.
Laurel is not your typical heroine. Laurel is deaf, but
she
accepts it as a part of who she is. She doesn't whine
about
her problem, it just is a part of her. Tired of being
protected by those around her, she decides to shed her
good
girl image.
There is also a fun and unexpected romance between Russ'
partner Jerry and Laurel's fellow employee Cat.
The love scenes are fun and erotic, like I have come to
expect from Ms McCarthy. MOUTH TO MOUTH is definitely a
good way to kick off the new year. Btw, you will never look at penny candy the same way again. Barb Hicks
