"Both stories are hilarious!"
Naughty or Nerdy by Elise Title is the first
story in this book. I just chuckled at what poor Judd
Turner had to go through. He?s finally gotten past the
nerdy look that he had in college with the braces on his
teeth and the thick glasses and the bad hair that stuck out
every which way. Now his boss Roz Morrisey is telling him
that he?s got to go back into that persona in order to
investigate one of his old college classmates, Kyle Warner,
for money laundering and embezzling. The bad thing about
that is that Judd?s first and only love, Lucy Weston is
engaged to the weasel that he?s got to investigate. How
will this all turn out? What a fun read this was. I couldn?t wait to find
out how Judd was going to not only figure out how he was
going to investigate Kyle but what he was going to do around
Lucy. This is the first story I?ve read by Elise Title but
as enjoyable as it was, I will be searching for more of her
books. The Husband Hotel by Darlene Gardner had me
in stitches from beginning to end. All I can say is it was
a good thing that I was not drinking anything while reading
this story because my book would have been all wet. I
laughed out loud throughout this hilarious story. Cliff Patterson convinces Jay Overton that he must
convince Cliff?s daughter Tara that she must not get
married until she is at least 30 years old. Tara is 24 now
and is the manager of a hotel. Tara has told Cliff that
she?s taken the job in order to find a husband. Cliff
reminds Jay of what he did for Jay?s father and his
company. Now Jay has to pay Cliff back by taking a job as a
handyman in Tara?s hotel so he can keep an eye on her. You
can well imagine all of the trouble Jay and Tara get into.
Then there?s Sadie Mae, Tara?s best friend from high
school. Tara gives her a job because she?s a single mother
but Sadie Mae is such a klutz that things seem to go wrong
or get messed up around her. Then there?s the Impeccabra
that Jay has invented for his sister?s lingerie company.
That?s another story entirely! I thoroughly enjoyed this whole book. Both stories
take ordinary people and put them in extraordinary
circumstances with very funny and sometimes strange
consequences happening!

SummaryTHE HUSBAND HOTEL
The fix is in! Jay Overman, inventor of the Impeccabra, has
a job to do: keep eligible fellas away from hotel manager
Tara Patterson. No way was she to get distracted from
climbing the corporate ladder. Sounds easy enough, but not
for Jay! It turns out that undercover work is not his
thing, 'cause the only thing this would-be maintenance man
can maintain is a healthy male interest in his sweet 'n
sexy boss. And little does Jay know that he'll become
Tara's biggest distraction...ever!
