REVIEW

"The first paranormal of the new Tempting fate series is sure to please"

Fantasy and romance are sure to be found in the heat of summer, with the caress of an ocean breeze at one's back.

Jayden Parrish has let her personal needs take a backseat to the needs of her beloved grandmother who had done so much for her. When Theresa, her grandmother, called one night to warn her to stay indoors, or risk becoming prey to the Demon Wind, a superstition long held in their beach town, Jayden doesn't put much stock in it, figuring it to be another needless worry. Never once did she expect to find herself on the beach at midnight, making passionate love to a stranger, while surrounded by a cool breeze in an otherwise still night. Even less did she expect that her mysterious lover would be Tyce Cantrell, her grandmother's new doctor. After the shock wears off, Tyce and Jayden decide to investigate what happened to them, and follow the leads to an elderly woman in town who knows the truth behind the superstition.

Ms. Wilde has once again proven her undeniable talent for weaving beautiful erotic love stories in Demon Wind, the first story in her new TEMPTAING FATE collection. There is only one passionate encounter, found early on in the story, but it sets the tone for what is to come. Jayden and Tyce are soul mates, meant to be together, though they never met before that one life-altering night. The romance that follows, though initially shocking to both parties, is undeniable, and readers will love to see what unfolds, and will be very happy at how it turns out.

There is also a beautiful legend woven into the tale, of star-crossed lovers who defy time and space to find the love denied them. Though their part in the story may seem minimal, as they only make an appearance a couple times, without them, there would be no story to tell. The resolution of their sub-plot is well done, making one feel for, and with, them.

Readers, be they new or old fans, will find an emotionally satisfying and scintillating story in the pages of this book. This reviewer, as always, thoroughly enjoyed her foray into TEMPTING FATE, and eagerly anticipates the next fantasy from the pen of Kay Wilde.
