"A not to be put down must read!"
Things are not going well for Bridget Mulligan.
Granny Frye had kicked the bucket when she was flattened by
a truck while chasing after the old coon hound, General
Lee. Then Bridget finds out that Granny had gambling
debts, for heavens sakes! What in the world could be next?
Then she finds out she's judged her long departed husband
wrongly. It seems he did not leave her the day after their
wedding night. He was killed in an accident and she never
knew. But now she and her son have been asked to come to
Ireland to meet her departed husband's family. It seems he
has a mother, a sister and a brother who live there. Riley Mulligan is a disagreeable sort but he just
cannot believe that his brother Cully went off to America
and married himself off to the first woman he met,
especially when he is betrothed to Katie Rearden. He just
knows that this woman who says Cully married her only wants
Cully?s part of the Mulligan land. When his mother, Fiona,
asks Riley to fetch Bridget and her son from the airport
he reluctantly agrees. The minute he sees Bridget, he
believes she is a cailleach (witch) but her son Jacob is
the spitting image of his brother Cully. The minute Bridget sees Caislean Dubh she's
frightened of it but she's also drawn to it. It whispers
to her. Then she starts having very sensual dreams. What
can this mean? Who is this dream lover? Why is she drawn
to Cully's brother Riley when he?s so disagreeable? I read this book in a matter of hours. It drew me
in from the prologue to the very last satisfying page. Not
only was this book sensual from the get-go but the charming
heroine with her Southern twang added just the right amount
of comic relief when it was most needed. Add all this to a
dark gothic-like castle with a curse attached to it, and
you have a not to be put down, must read book!

into heat, but Bridget is out of options.

desirable....
