"Thrilling Navy SEAL romance."
Navy SEAL Gabe Renault returns from a year in a North
Korean prison missing memories from about three years of
his life. While he doesn't remember his wife, Helen, and
can't remember much about his relationship with her or with
his stepdaughter, he is thrown by the cool reception he
receives on his return. Helen has finally come into her own. Stepping out of the
shadow of her SEAL husband, who put his work before his
family during their marriage, she's shocked at his return.
As he tries to fit himself back into their lives, she and
her daughter have many issues to deal with. Danger confronts the family as someone works to keep Gabe
from remembering exactly what happened when he was injured.
Can the family pull together to survive and thrive? The amnesia plots always bother me, but Ms. Melton spends a
lot of time on the relationship between these two hurting
and bruised characters, making this book a good one.
There's enough excitement to make the book a thriller and
enough romance for the heart!
