"Second story in Paradise series is sexy and exciting."
Christopher, Viscount Thorne, takes his position as a
Guardian very seriously, and that is the only position he
currently takes seriously. He knows he should marry and get
an heir, but he wants it to be his choice of a woman who
would be his match in every way. So far, he's escaped his
father's meddling, but the constant hounding and
manipulation has to stop. Then when his best friend
Nathaniel is murdered, Thorne is given the responsibility
of looking out for Nathaniel's sister until she's wed. Diana Sheridan swears she'll never fall in love again after
being jilted and her reputation destroyed. Now, all she
wants is to secure her cousin in society so she can move on
with her life as an artist. But when her cousin announces
she's fallen in love and wants to marry, Diana realizes
he's a gold-digger and takes her off to find Thorne, her
cousin's guardian. Thorne sees in Diana a win-win situation and proposes that
they pretend to be betrothed for the season, while Diana's
reputation is restored and he can help her with her career.
Neither expects to be caught in a compromising position,
but when they are, Thorne insists they marry right away and
has to work very hard to convince Diana that he really
wants to be married to her. This second story in Ms. Jordan's sexy Paradise series is
full of the merry chase and is fun and exciting to read. I
highly recommend it.
