"Great romantic suspense."
Danni Hawkins gave up her career of being a cop two years
ago when her partner was killed. Now she works as a private
investigator. When her father commits suicide, Danni
assumes he was depressed because of being forced into early
retirement. Being estranged from him for years, Danni is
bitter because he felt more for the boys at the youth
center than he did for her, and they were just starting to
break down the wall between them. But then Nick Sirocco, a
teenage crush, walks back into her life. Danni can't help
being irritated with him because he was one of the boys her
father favored over her. Nick respected Danni's father for saving his live by
steering him in the right direction. So he's unable to
believe the man committed suicide. When he approaches Danni
with his evidence. she's easily convinced. But now that
means their lives are in danger and the death of a teenager
at the youth center proves it. Sticking together night and day brings them closer together
and it doesn't take long for them to realize they don't
want to go their separate ways
when everything is over. This book was hard to put down. I found the interaction
between Nick and Danni funny and sexy. A great story.
