REVIEW

"Third book in the Lear sisters series is a delight."

Rachel Lear is 30 years old and has been in school a very long time. Her expertise is ancient British history, confessing to a fascination with kings and queens and knights and romance. But she hasn't been able to come up with a reasonable topic for her thesis to finally complete her PhD.

Every time Rachel steps out of her comfortable world of weaving and brownies, not to mention her best friend, Dagne, who's new at witchcraft and spells, she steps into the shadows of her two very accomplished and beautiful older sisters. Rachel is criticized for the way she looks and for everything that interests her. She is Rachel Ellen Lear, the doughball, the ugly duckling, the one they called Miss Fortune in high school.

Flynn Oliver, an undercover agent for Lloyds of London, is in America working with the Rhode Island police department investigating a large insurance fraud claim. Many valuable museum pieces have been damaged or destroyed. Not only do the clues point to Rachel, but some of the treasures have been found in her apartment.

Upon Flynn and Rachel's meeting, he finds this beautiful, smart and highly unique woman positively irresistible. She can't be involved in this serious accusation, and he'll do everything in his power to prove her innocence. Rachel wonders why this witty, cheerful Mr. GQ, who's in America working for a "computer company," seems so interested in her.

MISS FORTUNE, the third book in the Lear Sisters series, is a delight. It takes us on a roller coaster ride packed with a loop-de-loop around every corner. Read this fun and fast- paced adventure of the heart. It will make you laugh, cry and believe in the power of love.

Summary

Rachel is the baby of the Lear family—the dreamer, the one who always has her nose in a romance novel, likes yoga and astrology and counts Ben & Jerry among her closest friends. When her father cuts her off in an effort to launch her into the real world, Rachel is forced to concoct a plan, including losing a few pounds, getting a job...and with the help of her best friend, a witch, conjuring up a knight in shining armor complete with a British accent and a James Bond look.

Suddenly fate starts putting Flynn Oliver in Rachel's path. Handsome and charming, he's like the romance heroes she's always read about. Rachel can't believe her luck. Flynn seems like a dream come true...until a series of crimes reveals the real Flynn Oliver—and startles Rachel from her dream of happily ever after....
