REVIEW

"Back to Bryson City with the Good Doc Walt"

I'm so excited to tell all the fans of Dr. Larimore's first book BRYSON CITY TALES that you won't have to catch a plane or even a train in order to visit Bryson City again. Just open up the pages of Walt's newest book and you'll instantly be transported back into the lives of the folks we came to know so well. You'll see most of the characters from the first book along with meeting some new ones along the way.

As was the case in Tales, Dr. Larimore blends up a mix of inspirational faith with medical knowledge as he treats each one of his patients. From the delivery room to the morgue, on the football field and deep into the mountains to do home visits, you'll get a chance to hear some great true life stories.

When I wasn't wrapped up waiting to hear what Walt's next patient would do, I was sitting back chuckling as Walt also takes the time to catch you up on his special family and how they too adjust to life in this small town. Fans of the first book, will want to run not walk to the nearest bookstore and pick up this book.

This delightful sequel to Bryson City Tales follows Dr. Walt Larimore and his family through their real-life second- year experiences of practice in the Smoky Mountains. Favorite characters are returning, along with many new and colorful characters as Dr. Larimore's growing expertise as a wilderness physician, and his work with the Swain County Rescue Squad and the Maroon Devils football team, are all put to the test as he strives to incorporate his faith into his practice and family life. More Bryson City Tales infiltrates our hearts and wraps us up in the events of the town--a suspicious and very shady new doctor in town, moonshine and bartering, the desperate search for Dr. Larimore's lost son, and even the doctor's winning performance at the Bryson City Fire Department's Miss Flame Contest. With heart-warming, humorous, dramatic, and poignant moments, these stories will work the same enchantment in the hearts of readers as did Bryson City Tales, instilling images of grace and joy, perseverance and humility, and the enduring power of faith.

Summary

Dr. Larimore and his family are back in this hilarious, dramatic, and poignant sequel that follows this real doctor's second year of practice in a rural mountain town.
