"A heated tale of identity confusion"
In Philadelphia upset Carleen Wimmer tells her best friend
Mia Maldonado that she needs a favor as she can no longer
participate in a sleep experiment sponsored by millionaire
wannabe scientist Harlan Longo. Carleen had signed on so
that she brings in needed money for Mia's Makeover, a firm
in trouble since the founder's last boyfriend left and
stole many clients with him. However, Carleen's fiancé
Tobias Hamilton is unhappy with the idea of her sharing a
bed with a stranger in a sleep experiment. Mia decides to pretend to be Carleen and attend the sleep
experiment. She is paired with private investigator Nate
Cafferty, who hides his job from his bunkmate because he
is working for Tobias' mother seeking dirt on Carleen. As
they share the bed for the next three weeks, neither is
able to sleep as the attraction keeps both awake and their
cardiac readings are at heart attack levels. As they fall
in love, both hide their real identities while someone
stalks Carleen, making it unsafe for Mia masquerading as
her friend. This is a heated tale of identity confusion that leads to
a series of misunderstandings and danger. The lead couple
and the secondary duo are fine pairings as each is amiable
and belong together. Although Tobias' mom is a dislikable
snob and the villain is an unneeded psychopath, this
comedy of errors is a fun tale especially when the focus
is on Mia and Nate sharing a bed (his proof of his love is
a delight). Harriet Klausner
