"Hot, sexy Viking becomes a hunky Navy SEAL in this author's latest & greatest time-travel romance."
1010 AD: Ragnor Magnusson is getting tired of sex.
Unbelievable, yes, and he won't be chatting with any of his
comrades about that problem. No, he's stuck with his lot.
Ever since his father and nine brothers and sisters sailed
off and the ship disappeared, he has felt cut adrift. It
was such a tremendous loss and there is part of him that
hopes to still see them one day. As he drowned, he thought
that would finally be the moment when he would be reunited
with his family. Present: Instead, Ragnor pops up on a beach and is
immediately assaulted by a man who is trying to push his
head underwater. He struggles to the beach and collapses,
only to be forced to his feet and made to run and chant in
a language that is totally unfamiliar. As he gets his
bearings and tries to determine what his evil captors are
doing to their prisoners, he sets eyes on a woman who
brings back all his enthusiasm for sex. Allison MacLean is used to the buff bodies of the Navy
SEALs that she treats in her position as doctor for the
SEAL teams. But wow, that Magnusson -- he's something else.
He has no idea of proprieties or that her big brother is
likely to kill him for hitting on her. No, he looks at her
with those eyes and her thoughts get hot. This book is the most fun I've had in a long time (I'm not
sure what that statement says about my life!). Ragnor leapt
forward in time, replacing his brother during his SEAL team
training. The two look just alike, so no one notices the
difference. But Ragnor doesn't figure out that he's
replacing his brother, since they all call him by his last
name. He thinks he's just confused. The reader won't be one bit confused by anything. The
sizzle between Allie and Ragnor is hot enough to require a
loaded and ready fire extinguisher. Watch the book
carefully for smoke. And please! Has there ever been a
better, more intriguing Navy SEAL? Ragnor makes your heart
gasp. Allie is a great character, too, gutsy and determined
and trying to be the first woman on a SEAL team. Meanwhile,
the two get involved in a little bit of terrorism activity
in between their lusting episodes. Obviously, I highly recommend this book written in Ms.
Hill's usual charismatic style. You'll definitely be buying
the other books in this series! (And probably all of her
previous ones, if you don't already have them.)
