"Highly emotional story told in first-person from all three viewpoints of a triangular relationship."
Before Marine recruiter Brice Matthew met Mia, he and
Christian, his best friend since childhood, were considered
players, dating a different woman every night. But the day
Brice met Mia, the attraction was instantaneous. Within the
30 days of Brice's vacation, they fell in love and got
married. Christian was left on his own after his buddy got married
and settled down. For a while, he continued his womanizing
ways, but soon decided he needed to take a break. Whenever
Brice would leave town on business, he'd ask Christian to
keep Mia company and out of trouble. Christian was more
than willing to spend time with his new friend. It didn't take long for Mia to discover that Brice was a
very controlling man. The clothes she wore before she met
him were no longer allowed, and he never wanted her to
leave the house unless she was with him or Christian. When
she went back to school to get her teaching degree, Brice
was not a happy man. Then Brice started getting physically abusive. He promised
to never do it again, and Mia swore if he ever laid a hand
on her again, she'd leave him. Christian just couldn't
believe his best friend would hit his wife. She's
everything a man could want in a wife. After several years of being controlled and smacked around,
things really get out of control. During one volatile
incident, things are said and done between Mia, Brice and
Christian that can never be taken back. Now serious
decisions need to be made. This story is told completely in first person, and it's
very emotional from all three viewpoints. It's a lesson for
all women to learn, and I really liked reading this book.

Here's a straight-up novel about men and women, sex and
betrayal, and playing the fool for love. Mia is a hopeless
romantic who dreams of getting married and settling down
with the man who could make that dream come true. Brice has
his own ideas about love. He wants a woman willing to
surrender everything and he thinks he's found her in Mia.
Then again, so has Christian, who likes love to last just
as long as the night takes. Now he's met an angel with the
power to turn him around. Unfortunately she's married to
his best friend.
