"SISTERS IN CHRIST"
I had anxiously awaited this book ever since I read THE
SISTER CIRCLE last year. These two very talented authors
did such a splendid job with the story and at this point
I'm hoping they keep writing more and more books together. ROUND THE CORNER starts off with Evelyn Peerbaugh feeling
a bit lonely as her first group of tenants also known as
her other sisters in the circle have all moved onto to
their next phase of life. Tessa is off on a three-month
world cruise; Mae is enjoying life with her new hubby
right across the street and of course Audra, her now
daughter in law is trying to settle into married life. With the beautiful Victorian, once again empty, Evelyn
will put the PEERBAUGH PLACE ROOMS 4 RENT sigh back up and
hope for the best. She would love nothing more than to
find even more sisters to add to the circle. Before
Evelyn knows it, she will once again have a full house but
she is left wondering if this quirky bunch will ever
become friends much less sisters. The house is now filled
with closed doors, meals eaten alone instead of as a group
and a few non-truths thrown in. Can these women ever
possibly form a new sister circle? I enjoyed getting to know each new tenant and finding out
what had transpired in their own lives, to bring them to
Peerbaugh Place. Each woman has such a different
personality from the refined Heddy who longs for nothing
more than a Beaver Cleaver household to Gail who has led
everyone to believe she is something she is not. Then
there is Piper, Evelyn's friend who needs a place to stay
while her parents take over her apartment for a while. Before I give anything more away, rush right out and pick
this book up off the shelves. Maybe you can even take a
seat on your own swing and laze the afternoon away reading
this wonderful end of summer book. You'll be pleased to
know there is one more SISTER CIRCLE already out as well
titled AN UNDIVIDED HEART, which you'll also want to pick
up. PURSUE FAITH ND LOVE AND PEACE,
AND ENJOY THE COMPANIONSHIP OF THOSE
WHO CALL ON THE LORD WITH PURE HEARTS.

SummaryEvelyn is not so sure she likes the new dynamics of
Peerbaugh Place. Even though it had been hard adapting to
strangers living in her home, she and the other women (from
The Sister Circle) had found a calm cove of sisterhood. Now
Evelyn is starting over with a new set of boarders, and the
bond of sisterhood may not come as easily this time.
