"One of the best paranormal historical romances I've read!"
Katherine MacDougall Pudding receives news she's inherited
Castle Blackstone in Scotland, so she packs up and leaves
her New York City life for life as the laird of Blackstone
and the MacDougall holdings. What she discovers in Scotland
is a grungy, rundown castle in need of endless repairs and
no way to afford any of them. And there's another surprise
in the castle she wasn't expecting - a tall, handsome ghost
who seems to have taken a fancy to her. Duncan MacDougall's diaries are hidden somewhere in the
castle. Cursed at the young age of 30, Duncan died of an
infection and spent the next 600 years waiting for the
person spoken of in the curse to come and change his fate.
He finds Miss Pudding most intriguing and wonders if she's
his rescuer. One stormy night, Katherine powers up the motorboat to
travel back to the castle from the village. Half way across
the rough sea, her boat capsizes. At the point of death,
she's transported to a time she can neither comprehend nor
believe, especially when she awakes to find her handsome
Scottish ghost very much a flesh and blood warrior. This book is one of the best fleshed-out and well-plotted
paranormal historical romances I've read. Ms. Blair has a
flair for writing witty language and sexy characters. I
highly recommend this book.
