For newswoman Katie Bloom, "Getting Real with Kate" is a last chance. Described by viewers as "doggedly unbendable," station manager and best friend Julia Boudreaux had come up with the idea for the TV show, not only for Katie but also for KTEX TV, desperately in need of a hit. Things get off to a rocky start when her first guest, the Naked Chef, doesn't show. Fortunately, golf pro Jesse Chapman is in town visiting and steps in, saving the show, and Katie, from disaster.

Julia suggests that Jesse move into Katie's guest house while he's in town. Though reluctant because of a shared past, Katie knows she's never really gotten over Jesse and agrees that he can stay with her. Together again, she recognizes that Jesse is haunted by something in his past and is determined to help him find peace.

Sports celebrity Jesse is a man on the run, from his past, his present, his future. Hoping for anonymity, he finds himself thrust back into the spotlight with his appearance on Getting Real. Dealing with unwanted notoriety, a jealous sibling, a son he barely knows and an unwilling attraction to the all-grown-up Katie has Jesse ready to do what he's done in the past - run.

Wow! SUDDENLY SEXY is outstanding. What I like best about Ms. Lee's books is her ability to create relationships between lovers, friends, family; relationships that resonate with feeling, humor, pain, and love. This story catches us up with familiar characters and introduces us to a fun collection of new ones. I eagerly await the next Sexy novel!
