"Sexy story with great characters."
Lauren Ash is tired of the smarmy guys who waste their time
on rote pickup lines at the parties she and friend Carolyn
frequent. As Lauren walks out of another boring Clearwater
Beach bash, she vows it will be her last. She heads home
and picks up her little red diary and begins to write
another exploding sexual encounter with her imaginary
lover, the dark ocean god. It's not like she couldn't have
any guy she set her heart on, it's just there aren't any
decent guys around. And besides that, she's busy helping
her father run their enormously successful contracting
company, Ash Builders. Painting contractor Nick Armstrong is hired to paint
Lauren's home. He really shouldn't have taken the job due
to the painful history his family has with the Ash family,
but the money is too good to turn down. For Nick, it's just
an in and out job, until he catches a glimpse of the
beautiful, leggy blonde Lauren. Nick finds himself drawn to
her, and one afternoon while Lauren is gone, he enters her
private domain. He finds her little red diary and reads her
sexual fantasies. That's it for Nick, he has to have her.
But years of bitterness and bad blood between their
families threaten to destroy any hope of something more
than just a sexual relationship. Ms. Blake has written a cleverly sexy novel, with charming
characters, that readers are sure to enjoy.
