Darren Kaiser is fed up with his life. So he's rich, handsome and successful but when his dad pays a magazine to make him Matchmaker of the Year, it's the straw that broke the camel's back. Darren runs away from it all and hides under a totally different persona -- that of a computer geek.

Kate Monahan is a hair dresser but she is saving every penny so she can go back to school to become a teacher. That's what she's wanted to do all of her young life. Surely being 24 isn't too old to start living your dream?!

Darren moves to Seattle where he becomes Dean Edgar. His downstairs neighbor Kate is a regular fireball and they get off on the wrong foot when he accidentally ruins a load of her laundry and leaves her a very terse note about it. They iron out their differences and become good friends but each wants more. Then Kate's on and off boyfriend Brian takes her life savings and plays the stock market losing big. There go Kate's dreams. Darren aka Dean wants to help but he can't without revealing his true identity which he doesn't want to do quite yet.

What will Kate do when she finds out? She's already told Dean that she hates lies especially after what Brian did to her. Can Dean get out of this gracefully? Read the book to find out.

I simply love Nancy Warren's books. They have all given me hours of reading enjoyment. I look forward to each and every one of them. This one is no exception. I couldn't wait to see what she had cooked up for Kate and Dean and how she resolved the whole situation. I'm happy to say that she resolved everything quite nicely and I got my requisite happy ending!
