"Christine Feehan has outdone herself with the Ghost Walkers!"
Let me start out by saying that I thought SHADOW
GAME was one of the best books Christine Feehan had ever
written. Then I read MIND GAME! It far surpassed even my
highest expectations for this book. We meet Dahlia Le Blanc, one of Dr. Whitney's
gifted children that he just lost interest in when he
couldn't control her and her gifts. He supposedly set her
up in a sanitarium but actually he built her a house in the
bayou of Louisiana and hired caretakers for her. Now Dahlia
works for NCIS stealing back secrets that shouldn't have
been stolen in the first place. She's excellent at what she
does as she can manipulate energy. When she asks about her
childhood and Lily, her best friend, she's told there's no
such person and she just made it up in her mind. Now Lily has located Dahlia and wants one of the
Ghost Walkers to try to persuade her to come back into the
fold, so to speak. Nicolas (Nico) Trevane volunteers for
the job. Lily is very reluctant as Nico is very stand-
offish but she reluctantly agrees. When Nico arrives at
Dahlia's home, it's to find mercenaries already there
destroying her home and murdering her caretakers. But
where is Dahlia? Can Nico get to her in time? This story is as intense as SHADOW GAME was and
it's my kind of read. I could hardly bear to put this book
down. As much as I enjoy Christine Feehan's Carpathians, I
believe the Ghost Walkers have taken over my heart and my
mind. It is my sincere wish that we see many more stories
about the Ghost Walkers. I know I'll be eagerly waiting for
each and every story!
