REVIEW

"Mordi's long-awaited story!"

I simply cannot get enough of Julie Kenner's books. They are funny, sexy and just altogether fabulous reads, each and every one of them.

The same can be said for her latest APHRODITE'S FLAME. Finally we get Mordichai (or Mordi for short) Black's book. It seems that Mordi has finally turned over a new leaf. He's tired of doing his father evil Hieronymous' bidding so he's been reassimilated and now catches traitors for the Venerate Council of Protectors. He's just caught his thirteenth bad guy when he's given a new assignment.

Mordi is to help Isole (Izzy) Frost reassimilate a high level outcast. What he doesn't know yet is that the outcast is his father. When he does find out, he can only wonder what scheme Hieronymous is up to now because Mordi knows good and well that he's not going legit at this stage in the game.

The more Mordi and Isole work together the more attracted to each other but Izzy is ice to Mordi's fire. They are constantly at odds with each other but there is a thin line between love and hate. What's interesting to see is which will finally win in the end.

As much as I've enjoyed all of Julie Kenner's Aphrodite books, I believe this one is my very favorite. Finally Mordi is redeemed and Izzy is the perfect one to redeem him. The best part about this book is we get to visit with all of the characters from the previous books and we even get a glimpse of Nick and Maggie from THE CAT'S FANCY. What more could I ask for in a book? Julie Kenner is one of my favorite authors and this book is just one of the reasons why!

Summary

EVEN BAD BOYS

Since his father was the world's most super villain, Mordi was used to being bad. He'd helped his sire in countless plots, and only recently freed himself from the man's evil influence. But now his father was turning over a new leaf, joining the good guys, just as Mordi met the woman of his dreams. How lucky was that?

HAVE TO FALL IN LOVE

Bad boys!? Isole wasn't used to them. At least not in this way. Usually, she'd freeze 'em cold, but this time it was hard enough just keeping her cool. For years she'd been a Protector, a superheroine, but a dark presence was trying to sway her allegiance. Worse, the best thing in her life since her first propulsion cloak was Mordi: a dark-haired hunk whose sweet green eyes belied a past and a pedigree of evil. He was gorgeous, and someone she could love. He made her burn with desire, and nothing she did could put out the flames.
