REVIEW

"Another entertaining and intense installment to Dark Hunter series."

Vane Kattalakis is a Were-Hunter wolf. Beaten and left to die and having lost his sister, Vane would like to howl for the pain he's suffered. Alone except for his comatose brother, Vane must watch his back at all times for the many enemies who want him dead.

Vane wanders by the small shops in the New Orleans French Quarter and sees Bride McTierney. He had laid eyes on her when he was guarding Sunshine Runningwolf in Jackson Square. He thought he'd never again see the beautiful woman. He wanted her in a way he could barely contain then but duty prevailed. Now he has a new opportunity. The animal in him can't accept the possibility of not having her this time.

Bride's boyfriend has just dumped her. She's through with men until Vane steps into her boutique. The pull, so very strong between the two, allows Vane to give into his needs and Bride to give into desire. Soon Vane realizes that the fates have marked Bride as his mate. He's given three weeks for Bride to accept him as her mate. The only problem is that she's a human and he's a wolf and he has no idea how she would ever accept him for what he really is. If Bride rejects him, he'll live out his life in celibacy. This is not an option for him.

Danger intrudes and time runs short; a full moon and a soulful howl meet honesty and desire in NIGHT PLAY. Ms. Kenyon continues to entertain and delight readers with this latest addition to her Dark-Hunter series.

Summary

Bride McTierney has had it with men. They're cheap, self- centered, and never love her for who she is. But though she prides herself on being independent, deep down she still yearns for a knight in shining armor. She just never expected her knight in shining armor to have a shiny coat of fur... Deadly and tortured, Vane Kattalakis isn't what he seems. Most women lament that their boyfriends are dogs. In Bride's case, hers is a wolf. A Were-Hunter wolf. Wanted dead by his enemies, Vane isn't looking for a mate. But the Fates have marked Bride as his. Now he has three weeks to either convince Bride that the supernatural is real or he will spend the rest of his life neutered--something no self- respecting wolf can accept... But how does a wolf convince a human to trust him with her life when his enemies are out to end his? In the world of the Were-Hunters, it really is dog-eat-dog. And only one alpha male can win.
